In a simple ceremony on the occasion of martyrdom week, the cabinet ministers dedicated this statue to the residents and said that the martyrs are our shame and they are our inspiration. He said that today we are enjoying the warmth of freedom only because of the great sacrifices given by them. It is worth mentioning that today is the birthday of the great Shaheed Udham Singh Ji, who went to England to take revenge for the burnt garden.
This statue of Shaheed Udham Singh has been constructed by Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial Committee Abohar and International Sarv Kamboj Samaj. On this occasion, MLA of Jalalabad Mr. Jagdeep Kamboj Goldi also paid homage to Shaheed Udham Singh and said that their sacrifice keeps our new generation connected with patriotism even today.
On this occasion, former MLA Mr. Arun Narang, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal and SSP S. Manjit Singh Dhesi welcomed the Cabinet Ministers on their arrival here and paid their respects at the martyr's statue.
