Bloody clash during mohalla cricket match in Ludhiana, many injured

The news of a bloody clash during a mohalla cricket match in Ludhiana has come to light. 5 people were injured in the clash. 2 of the injured have been admitted to PGI. Out of which 1 young man went into coma. The altercation started when the batsman was given out. The young man who was umpiring in the match dismissed the batsman, but the young man who was batting started telling himself that he was not out.

When the matter worsened, the young man who was bowling said that if he does not play the match, we will draw him. After saying this, he started to go back home, but in the meantime, he was attacked by some players of the batting team. The young man was severely beaten.

The accused also beat the 4 people who came to the rescue with sticks. Hearing the screams of the bloodied youth, the people in the vicinity gathered on the roofs. Some people made a video of this bloody clash. The assailants hit the sticks on the head which rendered two people unconscious on the spot. The injured were admitted to a private hospital from where 2 were referred to PGI.

The victim’s family said that according to PGI doctors, the youth named Sintu has gone into a coma while the other is seriously injured. The victims have been identified as Gangu, Pintu, Sintu and Monu. All the injured work in a dyeing factory. All suffered head injuries.

After the bloody clash in the neighborhood, the police were informed, but the Jamalpur police did not come even once to see the occasion. The victims said that if the police do not register a case against the accused, they will stage a dharna. The miscreants included some women who beat the fallen unconscious. Hansraj, a resident of the area, said that there was no old enmity with the attackers.
