Punjab CM Mann Live: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is continuously working on making agriculture a profitable business and dealing with the falling ground water level. In this connection, on Monday morning, Bhagwant Mann tweeted and announced that he is going to take a big decision regarding the paddy season.
During his line session, CM Mann said that following the suggestions received in 2 major government-farmer meetings, paddy sowing has been divided into 4 parts.
Know the districts divided into four zones
Wired from June 10 Paddy sowing across the border area, these districts will get electricity during the day instead of electricity at night.
7 districts from June 16– Ferozepur, Faridkot, Pathankot, Sri Fahitgarh Sahib, Gurdaspur, Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Tarn Taran these districts will sow paddy from June 16 and accordingly they will get 8 hours of electricity. Also, where there is canal water, canal water will also be available.
Third part from June 19in which paddy will be sown in Rupnagar, Ropar, Shahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Mohali, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Fazilka, Amritsar districts.
June 21 Districts- Jalandhar, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Hoshiarpur, Sangrur, Malerkotla, Barnala, Mansa will sow paddy from June 21 and accordingly they will get electricity.

Along with this once again Bhagwant Mann reiterated that power shortage will not be allowed during paddy season. Also, he announced that like the last time, this time too those who do direct sowing will be given an honorarium of Rs 1500 per acre to those who save water.
Appeal to plant varieties of crops suggested by PAU
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has recommended farmers to plant PR-126/127/129 instead of Pusa-144. He said that Pusa crop matures in 152 days, while PR-126 along with its stem matures in just 93 days. Along with this stubble remains less and 2 months time is also saved. He said that both water and electricity can be saved in these two months.
