Out of the 813 firearm licenses canceled by the Punjab government, 87 in Ludhiana Rural, 48 in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, 10 in Gurdaspur, 84 in Faridkot, 199 in Pathankot, 47 in Hoshiarpur, 6 in Kapurthala, SAS. Arms licenses of 235 persons and 16 in Sangrur, 27 in Amritsar Commissionerate, 11 in Jalandhar Commissionerate and many other districts have been cancelled.
Now in Punjab, there is a ban on carrying and displaying weapons in public events, religious places, weddings (Punjab Government against Gun Culture) or any other event. In this regard, random checking will be done in various areas in the coming days. There will be a complete ban on those who glorify violence and weapons.
Through this action, those who glorify violence and weapons will be completely banned. There are a total of 3 lakh 73 thousand 53 firearm licenses in Punjab. The Punjab government is seen to be taking continuous action to eradicate the gun culture.
