Bureau Report: Allegations of violence in Ajnala police station were leveled at Waris Punjab chief and his associates. Now the Punjab Police has submitted a challan in this case. This challan has been presented in the Ajnala Court against 20 associates of Waris Punjab chief Amritpal Singh. In this case, the police had also registered an FIR against 250 unidentified people.

According to the information, the challan has been presented in the court in the name of Gurpal Singh and other people. Due to being in Dibrugarh Jail, no challan has been presented against Waris Punjab Chief. Soon the police will present a supplementary challan against them as well. In the challan presented by the police, it has been asked to register a case against the accused under sections 307, 353, 186, 120B of the IPC and the Arms Act. By presenting a challan based on the complaint of ASI Ratan Singh, the police has also kept SP Jugraj Singh as the main witness, who had more than 10 stitches on his head.

A demonstration was held at the police station against the arrest of Tufan Singh

On February 23, thousands of youth associated with Waris Punjab protested in front of Ajnala police station. Under the leadership of Waris Punjab chief Amritpal Singh, a demonstration was held for the release of Lovepreet Singh Tufan. After which the Ajnala police withdrew all the cases registered against Tufan Singh. The police had also set up barricades to stop the protesters. 6 policemen were injured during the violence on the spot.

Why did the Ajnala violence happen?

A case has been registered against 30 people including Amritpal Singh and his accomplice Tufan Singh in Ajnala police station. A case of kidnapping and beating was registered against Amritpal Singh by a youth who commented on social media. Actually, Barinder Singh of Chamkaur Sahib, who reached Ajnala on the night of February 15, was abducted by some people and beat up Barinder Singh on the motorcycle near Jandiala Guru. Against whom the complainant had filed a case against Amritpal Singh and his associates. In this case, the police arrested Tufan Singh. Against this, a large demonstration was announced by the chief of Waris Punjab outside Ajnala police station, during which there was violence between the police and the protesters.
