Punjab Police arrested two drug smugglers along with narcotics

The Punjab Police is constantly cracking down on drug traffickers. Ferozepur police have arrested two drug smugglers on a motorcycle. 500 drug pills have been recovered from the accused.

The police will soon present the accused in court and obtain remand. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. Both the accused were smuggling drugs for a long time.

Investigating officer Baljit Singh said that he was on patrol along with the police party. He was present near the Maharaja Palace. Meanwhile, the informant informed that the accused Navdeep Singh resident of Chak Arayan Falia and accused Manjit Singh resident of Chhanga Khurd are used to selling medical drugs. Both the accused were coming from Jalalabad (Fazilka) towards Mamdot on a motorcycle.

Acting on the basis of the said information, the police party stopped and searched the two accused along with their motorcycle and 500 drug pills were recovered from them. After which a case has been registered under the NDPS Act and they have been arrested. Now police remand is being obtained from the accused for further questioning, so that it can be ascertained from where the accused used to bring these medical drugs and where they used to supply them.
