The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has opened Nishchai Academy in Chandigarh to prepare Gursikh youth students for the competitive exams of IAS, IPS and PCS, which has signed an agreement with an institute in Chandigarh.

Under this, the expenses of 25 Gursikh children will be borne by the Shiromani Committee every year. This was expressed by the President of the Shiromani Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, while talking after the meeting of the Internal Committee. He said that the internal committee has approved the preparation of 25 Gursikh children for competitive examinations in the said academy according to merit.

This process will be started from April 1 and will continue every year. He said that this time, apart from 25 children, 10 more children have been agreed to be borne by the leader of the United Singh Sabha Foundation, Bhai Ram Singh, according to which 35 Gursikh children will be able to prepare for the competitive exams in the first year. He said that the purpose of this is to bring Gursikh children to high positions.

Advocate Dhami, giving information about other decisions of the Standing Committee, said that this time it has been decided to convene the budget meeting of the Shiromani Committee on March 28. The budget meeting will be held at Teja Singh Samari Hall at 1 pm. During this, the budget of Shiromani Committee, Dharma Prachar Committee, Trust, General Board Fund, Gurdwara Sahibs, Press and Educational Institutions etc. will be presented. He said that the sub-committee formed regarding the budget has given its recommendations, according to which the budget priorities will be determined.

The Shiromani Committee President said that the Interring Committee has also taken serious notice of direct and indirect interference in Sikh issues by the governments. He said that the government ministers are giving wrong color to Sikh affairs. Recently Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has hurt Sikh sentiments by rejecting the history of Gurdwara Guru Dangmar Sikkim, the holy place of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

He said that this Gurdwara Sahib has a direct connection with Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Sahib reached here during the third depression during 1515-16. Its case is being fought by the Shiromani Committee in the Sikkim High Court, but due to this, the Union Minister has violated the norms of his constitutional position by making a one-sided statement. Advocate Dhami said that not only governments are deliberately confusing Sikh affairs. Governments have deliberately interfered in the affairs of Takht Sri Patna Sahib, Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Delhi Committee and now Haryana Committee.

He said that the Shiromani Committee will not remain silent against such government interference and the struggle will be intensified. On this serious issue, a movement will be created across India by contacting parties related to minorities and representing human rights.
