Patiala: Another toll plaza has been closed in Punjab today. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has made the toll plaza on Patiala Samana State Highway free for people today. Chief Minister Mann said that the Punjab government is going to close this ninth toll plaza within a year. Mann said that the agreement for this toll plaza was made on 1-9-2005. According to Mann, there was a contract of this palace for sixteen and a half years.
Mann said that with the closure of this toll plaza, people will benefit 3 lakh 80 thousand rupees every day. The company’s application for extension has been rejected as the company has repeatedly breached the agreement. CM Mann said that we will not tolerate looting of people’s money. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that from today this toll plaza has been opened for the public while it has been closed for the company.
Mann said that damage control of 1 crore 6 lakh 48 thousand was also found. Targeting the previous governments, Mann said that there were two opportunities to close this toll plaza. Mann said that this toll plaza could have been closed for the first time on 24-6-2013 due to not putting a look on the road for the first time as per the terms of the agreement.
Mann said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that a case of cheating has been registered against these toll plaza people. Marking the previous governments, Mann said how the governments had given free rein to private companies to loot the common people.
Maan said that this agreement could have been closed again on 16-10-2018 due to non-completion of the road work, but due to the connivance of the governments of the time, they continued to rob the people.
Chief Minister Mann said that the company spoke about the loss due to Corona. In response to which I told them that Corona was a natural disaster. The whole world suffered from it. Common people have also suffered. If everyone has to bear the loss, then the company should also bear it. The central government had made wrong laws in the farmers’ movement. It was a nationwide movement. It was a nationwide movement. Mann has also clarified that the company will not be given any additional compensatory days.
CM Bhagwant Mann has assured the people of Punjab that not a single penny of Punjab will be looted but will be returned with interest. The minister said that we will not allow illegal looting of the money of the people of Punjab. He said that now it will be mandatory to write the expiry date on all toll plazas in Punjab. We will not allow the money of the people of Punjab to be wasted. The desolation of Punjab will be counted from Captain Badal.
Let it be said that the Hon’ble government has closed 8 toll plazas of Punjab so far and today they have closed the 9th toll plaza. Earlier, 2 toll plazas have been closed on the Sangrur-Ludhiana road. 1 toll plaza has been closed on Hoshiarpur Tanda Road. 3 toll plazas have been closed on Balachore- Garhshankar- Hoshiarpur road. 1 toll has been closed on High Level Bridge Makhu and Kiratpur Sahib- Nangal- Una Road toll plaza has been closed.
