Rupnagar police has arrested gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s accomplice Malkit Singh along with 5 pistols and 20 live cartridges as part of an operation against anti-social elements with criminal background.

In which three pistols .32 bore with magazine and 20 live cartridges besides 2 pistols .315 bore are included.
He further revealed that Malkit Singh along with his accomplices had fired at his rival party at Batala city. In this regard, a case No. 181, dated 08.11.2022 A/D 307, 148, 149, 379-B IPC, 25/54/59 Arms Act, Police Station City Batala was registered against him. In which this accused fugitive was running. After arresting the accused by the Rupnagar police, police remand is being obtained by presenting them in the court, from which many other important revelations are expected.
He said that gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s Gurge who is wanted/absconded in a case of premeditated murder at police district Batala was arrested with 15 deadly weapons and 20 live rounds. The dangerous plans of the accused to carry out serious criminal incidents in Punjab with these weapons have failed. The work of supplying illegal weapons and drugs in different parts of Punjab was also being done on a large scale by this gang.
