Chandigarh: The state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has asked for suggestions from the general public for the agricultural policy being made for the first time in Punjab to solve the problems faced by the farmers of Punjab and make agriculture a profitable business.

In a press statement issued here today, Agriculture Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that it has been decided to make an agricultural policy on behalf of the Chief Minister to make the farmers debt-free and to take the farmers on new lines as per the need of the hour. In this connection, for the first time in the history of Punjab, the Chief Minister organized a government-farmer meeting. He said that the government has sought suggestions from farmers, group groups, self-help groups, FPOs, farmers’ associations, agro-industrial associations and the general public till March 31, 2023, to incorporate farmers’ feedback in the agricultural policy. .

The Agriculture Minister has appealed to the residents of the state to give their suggestions more and more so that they can be made a part of the policy.
