If this was not done on time, then the water of this river would have caused destruction on a large scale in 50 villages up to Rajpura. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain visited the site and ordered immediate strengthening of its weak banks with sandbags.

Apart from this, 14 members of two families of Kurali who were hit by the water of Siswan were also taken out of the water with the help of NDRF and brought to a safe place. He said that ward no. Tourism Minister and MLA from Kharar Anmol Gagan Mann praised the immediate efforts taken by the administration for the safety of the people and said that this has strengthened the confidence of the people in the government of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said that there is no force in the face of nature, but the efforts made with human help to prevent the damage caused by it have become a major reason for preventing any kind of loss of life in Kharar today. He met the rescued children at Rakoli relief camp and gave them courage and assured them of safe delivery to their homes.
