New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday informed a court here that the agency has arrested BRS leader K.K. Kavita’s alleged former auditor Buchibabu Gorantla has been summoned for questioning in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy, who will be confronted with other accused arrested in the case.
The court said this before the court while seeking extension of custody of Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramachandran Pillai, an accused arrested in the case on March 6. The court extended Pillai’s custody by three more days.
The ED has asked Buchibabu, who was out on bail after being arrested by the CBI in the case, to appear on March 15, a day after Telangana Legislative Council member (MLC) Kavitha is to be questioned for the second round.

The agency also told the court that Pillai and Buchibabu stayed in a five-star hotel in Hyderabad in mid-March and during the same period the Group of Ministers report on Delhi’s excise policy (now cancelled) was being prepared.
