JBVNL seeks objection on tariff proposal

Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JBVNL) has issued a tariff petition for the financial year 2021-22 seeking objections from the general public. This tariff petition was filed in November 2020. But due to non-appointment of chairman and members in the commission, the decision on this tariff could not be taken. Now that the chairman and members have started working fully in the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission, then the process of tariff has started again. The commission directed JBVNL to invite objections from the public on the tariff for the financial year 2021-22. After this, JBVNL has issued an advertisement inviting objections on the tariff. However, in the meantime, JBVNL filed a tariff petition for the financial year 2022-23 on 30 November 2021. On this too, due to non-availability of members in the commission, the hearing could not be held.
