The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had found several evidences related to transactions in transfer-posting during raids on power broker Vishal Chowdhary’s premises. On the basis of this evidence, the ED has issued summons to IAS officer Rajeev Arun Ekka for questioning in the Pooja Singhal episode itself. He has been directed to appear at the regional office in Ranchi on March 15 at 11:30 am. Meanwhile, Panchayati Raj Secretary Rajeev Arun Ekka has expressed his inability to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 15.

He has written a letter to the ED saying that he is unable to go to the ED office due to the ongoing assembly session in the state. The Jharkhand Assembly session will continue till March 24. Only after this he can appear in the ED office. However, the ED headquarters has not yet taken any decision on his request.

ED raided five places of Vishal Chaudhary on May 24, 2022 in the second phase of investigation of Pooja Singhal case. These include Vishal Chowdhary’s residence at Ashok Nagar Road No.6, office on the second floor above IDBI Bank near Argora Chowk, FGS Construction Pralli at Argora, ninth floor flat of Tower-B of Vasundhara Garden at Morhabadi and his flat at Muzaffarpur. Ancestral residence was included. During the raid, ED got many important documents.

It also includes documents related to money transactions for transfer-posting. During the raid some hand written slips related to money transactions were also found. The money to be taken from the concerned persons has been mentioned on these slips. By whom these slips were written, the investigation is still going on in this matter.

Lookout notice was issued against Vishal:

Looking at the facts mentioned in the document found from Vishal’s hideout, the apprehension of Vishal Chaudhary’s escape was being raised. Therefore, on the request of ED, a lookout notice was issued against Vishal Chowdhary. Vishal Chowdhary had also tried to flee abroad, but he was caught at the Delhi airport on 24 November. He was trying to go to Thailand.

The ED had summoned him to appear at the regional office in Ranchi on November 26 at the Delhi airport itself, but he did not turn up fearing the media. Later he appeared at the ED’s regional office for questioning. It is said that during interrogation he has given some sensational information. At present the work of its verification is going on. Meanwhile, on March 5, 2023, a video went viral. In this, Rajeev Arun Ekka is shown handling the files at Vishal Chowdhary’s house.
