Bharatiya Janata Party has made a big announcement on Friday. Jatinderpal Malhotra has been made the new president of Chandigarh BJP, while Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has been appointed in-charge of Mizoram elections. Along with this, BJP National Secretary Anil Antony and Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Paton have been made deputy election in-charges.
Mizoram will go to polls in a single phase on November 7. Along with the Mizoram assembly elections, the results of five states will also be declared on December 3. With the announcement of the Election Commission, the Model Election Code is currently in force in the state.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has been made the state election in-charge of Mizoram on Friday in view of the Mizoram assembly elections.
