There has been a political uproar over Ram Rahim’s satsang to be held on January 29 in Bathinda, Punjab. The Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee opened a front against Ram Rahim. The committee has started a signature campaign. Meanwhile, former Education Minister and senior SAD leader Dr. Daljit Cheema targeted the governments.

Central, Haryana and Punjab governments responsible: Cheema
Dr. Daljit Cheema said that efforts are being made to spoil the atmosphere of peace in Punjab. The Central, Haryana and Punjab Governments are directly responsible for this. The way the governments are showing leniency on Ram Rahim, somewhere or the other the verdict given by the court is being challenged. It is wrong to give parole so early to a person who is facing punishment in cases like rape and murder.

The OSD to the Chief Minister of Haryana and a Member of Parliament went to Ram Rahim to hand over the invitation letter for the state level function. Governments are engaged in making Ram Rahim a hero from jail. Cheema said that the person who has two serious cases like murder and rape and is serving sentence in that, does not get parole for 5 years. More than four cases are still pending against the accused. The present governments are disrespecting the law.
