There will be no registries in Punjab, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars have gone on indefinite strike

In Punjab, the employees have of course returned to work, but even today there will be no registrations in the tehsils and sub-tehsils. Nothing will work. Apart from the flood-related work, there will be no registry or any other work related to the revenue department as the Tehsildar-Naib Tehsildars are still on an indefinite strike.

The revenue officers say that the government does not accept the demands and the legislator-leaders harass them unnecessarily. Punjab Revenue Officers Association says that many of their issues are pending with the government. They are being hanged deliberately. A meeting has been held with the Chief Minister twice but so far no solution has been found to his problems. He alleged that on July 22, the MLAs were harassed by Tehsildar-Naib Tehsildar and staff in Ludhiana.

The file is pending with the Chief Secretary
The Revenue Officers Association says that in a meeting with the Chief Minister, a decision was taken to review the decision not to stop the increment of the charge sheet officers but the review has not been carried out yet. The issue of security was raised with the Chief Minister twice in the meeting and he agreed to provide security but this decision has not been implemented at the ground level yet.

Also the file of PCS 2020 panel is pending with the Chief Secretary for 2 weeks. No action is being taken on it. The Revenue Officers Association says that until their demands are met, they will not do any work except in flood cases. He will remain on indefinite strike.
