Indian Army Uniform Update: After 75 years of the country’s independence, the Indian Army is going to change its uniform. According to the information received from the sources, a uniform uniform will be made for the senior officers of the flag rank i.e. Brigadier and above, irrespective of the parent cadre and posting.

Along with this, there will be no change in the uniform worn by officers of the rank of colonel and below. Sources say that the Indian Army has decided to adopt a uniform uniform for senior flag rank officers irrespective of parent cadre and posting. Importantly, this major decision has been taken after detailed deliberations during the recently held Army Commanders’ Conference.

If reports are to be believed, the headgear, shoulder rank badge, gorget patch, belt and shoes of senior officers of the rank of Brigadier and above will now become standard and common. Also, flag rank officers will not wear any kind of lanyard.

Let us tell you that all these changes will be implemented from August 1 this year. However, there will be no change in the uniform worn by officers of the rank of Colonel and below in the Indian Army. Importantly, there are 16 ranks in the Indian Army. These ranks are divided into three categories.
