Full Emergency | Thiruvananthapuram International Airport: Full emergency declared due to flight diversion

Thiruvananthapuram: A full emergency was declared at the international airport here on Friday after a Calicut-Dammam flight was diverted to the state capital due to hydraulic equipment failure. According to airport sources, the aircraft landed at the airport at 12.15 pm.

Sources said the tail portion of Air-India Express IX 385 flight carrying 182 passengers hit the runway during take off from the Calicut International Airport in the morning. Sources told PTI that the aircraft landed at the airport after draining fuel over the Arabian Sea for a safe landing. During this, the airport management declared a full emergency. (agency)
