Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narender Modi) Took information over the phone from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami about the workers trapped in the tunnel near Silkiara in Uttarkashi. Giving detailed information about the relief and rescue operations, the Chief Minister said that all the state and central agencies are engaged in the relief and rescue operations with coordination and promptness. The Chief Minister said that he himself went to the spot and inspected. Also they are constantly monitoring the rescue operations. Arrangements have been made to send large hump pipes from Haridwar and Dehradun for rescue operations.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami (Pushkar Singh Dhami) said that all the workers trapped inside the tunnel are safe and all possible efforts are being made to get them out soon. So far, the Prime Minister has taken information about the situation from the Chief Minister twice. Union Home Minister and Railway Minister have also spoken to CM Dhami. Officials also assured that all 40 workers trapped in the tunnel are safe and are being sent food and water, but said the rescue operation may take another two days. A portion of the under-construction tunnel between Silkiara and Danalgaon on the Brahmakhal-Yamunotri National Highway collapsed early on Sunday. Officials say that oxygen is being supplied to the trapped workers through pipes after the start of rescue operations. Contact was established after midnight, after which they could only get drinking water and light food.

Continuous rescue operations continue

Disaster Management Secretary Ranjit Kumar Sinha says that the trapped laborers can be rescued by Tuesday night or Wednesday. Circle officer Prashant Kumar said that the first communication was established with the workers through wireless on Sunday midnight. NHIDCL director Anshu Manish Khalkho said that the rescue team has contacted the laborers several times through pipes to supply them with food. Rescue workers worked through the night trying to prepare an escape route for the workers and also sent them food and dry fruits.
