Alert issued regarding H9N2 virus in Haryana

An alert has been issued in Haryana regarding the rapidly increasing cases of the avian flu H9N2 virus spreading rapidly in the northern region of China. Monitoring of patients suffering from respiratory disease and pneumonia in children has been initiated. The Director General (DG) of the Health Department has directed all CMOs in the state to review the preparations.

Apart from this, it has been asked to increase the monitoring of cases of pneumonia in children and to follow all the instructions issued at the time of Corona. After the Union Health Ministry issued an alert, the Haryana government has issued orders to all CMOs to remain alert.

In the orders issued by the DG Health, it has been said that surveillance of cases of pneumonia among children should be increased in all government and private hospitals of the state. Also, its report should be sent to the headquarters continuously. Along with this, the provision of medicines, oxygen etc. for children in the hospitals should also be reviewed and the report should be sent to the headquarters. It has been asked from the headquarters that no negligence should be used in this matter.
