New Delhi. The devastating earthquake on Monday in Turkey and Syria has caused huge devastation. Here there have been five major tremors of earthquake due to which big buildings collapsed like cards. At the same time, emergency has been imposed in Turkey for three months in 10 states. These areas have been most affected by the earthquake. The death toll in Turkey and Syria has risen to 5,261. Most of the deaths occurred in Turkey. Here 3,549 people have died and 20,534 have been injured. Whereas, there have been 1,712 deaths and more than 2000 injuries in Syria.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said that the number of earthquake affected could be up to 23 million. Also the death toll could exceed 20,000. According to Turkey’s Disaster Management Agency, 11 thousand 342 buildings have collapsed in Turkey. 8 thousand people have been pulled out from the debris.
