Raghav Chadha on Suspention: Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha has been suspended from the Rajya Sabha. Raghav Chadha has given his first reaction after the suspension. Raghav has released a video asking what is my crime, due to which I was suspended?

Raghav tweeted, ‘Hello! I am suspended MP Raghav Chadha… I was suspended from Rajya Sabha today. I want to know what my sin is. Is it my fault that I questioned the leaders of the world’s largest party standing in Parliament?

Raghav further said, ‘Is it my fault that I demanded justice from senior BJP leaders while speaking on the Delhi Seva Bill? Show them your old manifesto and ask them to fulfill their promises? BJP was shown a mirror and today’s BJP was called Advaniist and Vajpayee. Are they afraid of how a 34-year-old youth stands in Parliament and challenges us.’

I am not afraid of anyone – Raghav Chadha

After the suspension, Raghav Chadha satirized the BJP saying that these people are very powerful. They can go to any level. I have also received two notices from the Privileges Committee in a week, but I am not afraid of a challenge. I will compete.

The Aam Aadmi Party retaliated

The party said that the said suspension was done yesterday by holding a press conference on behalf of Raghav to defend himself in the case of alleged violation. Nowhere in the proposal for the suspension of Piyush Goyal or in the notice given by the Privileges Committee are the words forgery or forgery, signature, forgery etc. mentioned. Not even remotely to blame for this effect.

What did Raghav Chadha say?

Earlier on Thursday, Raghav Chadha had hit out at the BJP saying that it was trying to suppress his voice as he had exposed the BJP’s double standards. The AAP MP said that any MP can propose the name of another member to the Select Committee without his written consent or signature.

What is this matter?

Four Rajya Sabha MPs had accused Raghav Chadha of violating the rules and proposing their names for the formation of the Select Committee without their consent. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar referred to the complaints of those MPs and has sent the matter to the Privileges Committee for investigation.
