The language department has made complete preparations in this regard. According to the department, a show cause notice will be issued to those who violate this order. A fine of Rs 500 to Rs 5 thousand can be imposed after the notice.
Director Language Department Virpal Kaur has said that action will be taken against anyone who violates these rules after February 21. Because the Punjabi and other languages Education Bill 2021 has been passed in November 2021. According to the bill, after February 21, violators will first be issued show-cause notices.
According to the information, it is being told that after the show cause notice, there will be a fine of Rs 500 for the first time, Rs 2,000 for the second time and Rs 5,000 for the third time. The decision regarding when this penalty will start can be taken in the Punjab Cabinet meeting today.
