Punjab Police Department has released the list of newly recruited constables in the force. In a few days, the schedule of training of constables will be prepared. After the initial training, orders for the first posting of all these police personnel will be issued.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Mann has announced the recruitment of 1800 constables and 300 sub-inspectors in the Punjab Police every year. He said that this decision has been taken for the purpose of removing the shortage of police personnel in the force.
Civilian support staff will also work with Punjab Police for the first time. 144 youths have been recruited in various cadres of Bureau of Investigation of Punjab Police. Appointment letters have been given to him by Chief Minister Hon.
CM Mann said that it is necessary to update the police force in the field of investigation, science and technology. He said that the newly recruited 144 youth have deep understanding of modern technology. With this, they will cooperate in controlling the perpetrators of crime by staying behind the scenes.
Chief Minister Mann, while giving appointment letter to the youth recruited in the Civilian Support Staff, said that this year, about 3 lakh candidates have applied for 1750 posts of constables and 300 posts of sub-inspectors. The new recruitment will strengthen the Punjab Police. More than 29237 youths have been given government jobs by Punjab government in police department including PSPCL, civilian support staff and other government departments.
