Bureau Report: In Jalandhar’s Gurdwara Sachkhand Sahib, the woman attacked the Granthi with weapons lying there. In this attack, Granthi Singh got an injury on his finger. It is being told that to avoid the attack, Granthi Singh had to run inside the Guru’s house. The woman ran behind him with a kirpan, Granthi continued to make noise and then the Sangat overpowered the woman. The incident took place in Babu Labh Singh Nagar under Bawa Basti Khel of Jalandhar police station.

Jasmin Kaur, a resident of Babu Labh Singh Nagar, has been arrested by the police. Granthi Harwinder Singh has complained against the woman, after which a case has been registered under section 295A of the IPC in the case of hurting religious sentiments. According to the police, the woman originally belongs to Patial village of Bhogpur.

Granthi said he was stopped from disrespect and attacked

Granthi Singh Harvinder Singh of Gurudwara Sachkhand Sahib said that he was present in the Gurughar. When Jasmin came there to offer obeisance, he picked up the shastras near Sri Guru Granth Sahib and started blaspheming. When they stopped the woman from doing so, she attacked them with a kirpan.

Granthi said that in the attack, the kirpan hit his hand and the finger was cut. After this, the woman tried to attack again. They started making noise inside the Guru’s house. Hearing this, the Sangat came inside and then caught the woman. After the attack, the weapon was taken from her hand, when the police reached the spot, the woman apologized. But the police have registered a case of hurting religious sentiments.
