For Tuesday, the Meteorological Department had issued a rain alert in 9 districts. It includes the districts of Malwa, Majha and Doab. Fazilka, Muktsar, Faridkot, Moga, Ferozepur, Jalandhar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala
And there is an alert of heavy rain in Amritsar. It has started raining in many places since morning. On Monday too, there was rain in many cities of the state, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Moga, Faridkot, Gurdaspur. According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, there was 38 MM of rain in Amritsar, 3.5 MM in Jalandhar, 1.5 MM in Moga. Apart from this, the temperature in Chandigarh, Faridkot, Ludhiana and other areas had decreased slightly due to rain, but due to the increase in humidity, people had to face a lot of trouble.

Bhakra near danger mark

According to the data released by Swareh Bhakra, the water level in the dam is 1655.75 feet. It is 1.09 feet more than the previous day. The inflow of water in Bhakra dam has been recorded as 57549 cusecs. While 40971 cusecs of water was released through turbines in Bhakra Dam. 12350 cusecs of water is being released in Nangal diadal canal in Bhakra Nagar Dam, 10150 cusecs in Anandpur Sahib diadal canal, 18600 cusecs in Sutlej river.

There is a warning of heavy rain in Himachal for the next 3 days, due to which the water level in Bhakra Dam is expected to rise by 1 to 2 feet daily. From this it can be estimated that in a week to 15 days the Bhakra Nangal Management Board may have to release water.

Conditions improved in Amritsar and Patiala

After the crack in the Kathunangal canal, the increased water level in the Tungpai drain has now reduced. The water level has reduced in Ram Nagar, Sandhu Enclave. However, the slums around the drain are still under the water of the drain. On the other hand, the administration in Patiala has brought the situation under control. There is an attempt to remove the water with the help of motor in Rampur Patta. There, the level of Ghaggar is also being monitored. The administration has started spraying in the area to protect the people from the disease so that after the flood water recedes, diseases spread.
