The sports department started preparations for the season-2 of 'Khedan Watan Punjab'

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will be seen playing volleyball with the youth at the inaugural function of ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Ki’ Season 2 being organized by the Punjab Sports Department in Bathinda. During this, exhibition matches of volleyball, rugby and tug of war will also be held. Like CM Mann, film actor and former rugby player Rahul Bose will also perform.

This information was given by Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare. Sports Minister Hare gave guidelines to all the officials regarding the preparations for the games at Punjab Bhavan. Meet Hare said that the torch relay will reach Bathinda on August 29, where its season-2 will be played.

This torch will reach Bathinda after visiting all the districts across the state before the inauguration ceremony to be held at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sports Stadium in Bathinda. Prominent athletes of the state will participate in the torch relay and the athletes will be sworn in to play with true sportsmanship.

Punjab will draw games dedicated to civilization
Meet Hare said that folk singers will perform during the cultural program. Apart from this, there will also be Gatka, Giddha, Bhangra, Gymnastics and PT shows. Former players who have made Punjab famous will also attend as guests.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will formally announce the opening of the Games. This time 35 sports competitions will be conducted from block to state level in different 8 age groups.

Instructions to take special care of the convenience of the visitors
After reviewing the arrangements in the meeting, the Sports Minister asked to conduct the activities of the event in the true spirit of sports. He said that the spectators coming to the stadium should not face any kind of problem, so their entry, seating and food should be arranged.
