Bureau Report: Ashwini Kumar, in charge of Marado police station in Ludhiana, has been suspended by ACP. The in-charge of the post had raised his hand on the woman 5 days ago. The incident is near GNE College. A video of the entire incident came out, in which the policeman was seen slapping a person on the face in a restaurant. When the authorities investigated the matter, it came to light that Ashwani Kumar, in-charge of the outpost, had raised his hand on a woman while wearing a uniform, then grabbed her hand and pulled her, after which the authorities have taken action against her.
On the other hand, ASI Ashwani Kumar had accused the woman that she was returning from a raid from somewhere. Some people were arguing on the way, when they stopped the quarrel and inquired, the woman present there abused them, while the woman said that the in-charge of the post had beaten her up.
A dispute occurred during the birthday party
Ankit and Sandeep, the woman’s companions, said that they were all having a birthday party, in the meantime some people were drinking freely, those people also started drinking on the side, they thought that the restaurant might have a permit. Meanwhile, the in-charge of the checkpoint took the woman behind the car and started beating her.
ACP said it is wrong to raise hands on a woman in uniform
ACP Ashok Kumar said that he has investigated the matter, the video which has come out shows that ASI Ashwani was raising his hands on the woman in uniform. Due to this, the image of the police is damaged among the people. After the orders of the authorities, Ashwini Kumar has been suspended.
