SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami has taken notice of a video that has gone viral from Jabalpur, in which a Sikh is being beaten up by some persons. He said that such an incident of beating Sikhs with turbans and insulting cases is extremely unfortunate and strongly condemnable.
The SGPC President has appealed to the MP Police Department and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan to investigate the matter so that action can be taken against the accused and justice can be given to the victim.
The incident took place near Gurdwara Sahib of Prem Nagar in Madan Mahal area of Jabalpur, where Narinder Singh, a local Sikh, was brutally beaten with kicks and punches by some persons during Madhya Pradesh assembly elections yesterday. According to the report we received, Narendra Singh is undergoing treatment at a medical college in Jabalpur and the police have not yet taken action against the accused.
