Big news has come out from Bhakra Dam, the largest dam in North India located in Ropar, Punjab. The water of Bhakra Dam has once again increased towards danger. As a result of which 4 flood gates have been opened around 12 noon on Sunday. Due to rising water level in Bhakra Dam, excess water is being released from the dam today. Due to which there may be difficulties for the people of Punjab, Haryana and lower areas.

According to the information, the Bhakra Beas Management Board has opened these flood gates under the investigation process. Because the water in Bhakra Dam is only 9 feet below the danger mark. When the gates were opened after heavy rains, the dams in some upper parts of Himachal became jammed. Due to which this testing procedure is being adopted. Bhakra Beas Management Board does not want to take any risk. Therefore, they have started the investigation process by opening the gates and checking the condition of the gates even before the danger sign.

The water level was measured at 1671.27 this morning. According to the letter issued by the Design Engineer of BBMB Water Regulation, 27500 cusecs of water will be released in Sutlej River through Nangal Dam, earlier this water was 19400 cusecs, now the amount of water in Sutlej River is being increased. The administration has held a meeting at Chandigarh tomorrow regarding the arrival of 71000 water in the lake.
