The second Mangala procession of Ram Navami took place in Hazaribagh with much fanfare. From the city to the block, the akhadaharis took out a procession in the traditional way. The torrential rain and cold wind that fell on Tuesday evening could not dampen the enthusiasm of Ram devotees. After the rain stopped, the devotees came out on the streets and enthusiastically participated in the Mangala procession with the Mahaviri flag. The youth involved in the procession displayed weapons. Tasha danced to the tunes of the party.

Earlier, worship was done with the Mahaviri flag at Bada Akhara, Hanuman Mandir and other places. Processions were taken out by all the akhadas including New Area, Khirgaon, Chhota Gwaltoli Bada Akhara, Matwari, Devangana, Korra, Malviya Marg, Lakhe, Oriya, Chano. Mahant Vijayanand Das of Bara Akhara, former presidents of Ram Navami Mahasamiti, members of various Akharas welcomed all Akhara committee members at different places.

Tight security arrangements seen at the square-intersections:

Security forces were deployed at all the square-intersections of the city regarding the Mangal procession. Patrolling vehicle kept patrolling. Officers and jawans of police and district administration were deployed at different places to maintain law and order.
