Bhubaneswar. A major accident has been averted in Odisha. Actually, a bird collided with an Air Asia flight going from Bhubaneswar to Pune on Thursday. After which the flight made an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar. According to the airport authority all the passengers are safe. Currently, the flight is being assessed.

Air Asia said on the whole incident, “The flight from Bhubaneswar to Pune had a bird hit after take off and returned to Bhubaneswar for detailed inspection. We are serving guests and taking steps to minimize the impact on other scheduled operations.”

Earlier on February 26, an Indigo flight from Surat to Delhi was hit by a bird during take off. After which he was diverted to Ahmedabad and made a safe landing. The fan blades of the engine were found to be broken during inspection.
