Fake coins being made in Haryana, police busted

A joint investigation by the Delhi-Mumbai police has revealed fake coins being made in Haryana. The gang making fake coins is supplying them to temples and malls in neighboring states including Mumbai, Delhi.

The police of both the states are engaged in identifying fake coin manufacturing factories in Haryana on the basis of questioning some members of the gang arrested in this case. The seizure of fake coins is part of a 10-month-old operation by the Delhi Police.

In April 2022, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police busted a fake coin manufacturing unit in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. In this case, five people including mastermind Naresh Kumar have been arrested.

According to the officials of the Special Cell of Delhi Police, Jignesh Gala, a member of this gang, has been arrested recently. Who has revealed during interrogation that he used to buy coins not from Charkhi Dadri factory but from another factory in Haryana.
