Bengaluru: Describing the Janata Dal Secular (JDS) as a “natural ally”, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has decided to extend full support to the party led by former prime minister HD Deve Gowda in the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka. This information was given by a senior BRS leader.

‘JDS our natural ally’

Speaking to the media, a senior BRS leader said that JDS is our natural ally. We want to ensure that JDS is successful in the elections. BRS was earlier considering fielding candidates on some seats in Karnataka. The party was considering this as part of its expansion strategy but has now dropped the idea. According to sources, KCR will campaign for JD(S) candidates, especially in areas where Telugu-speaking people are densely populated. Let us tell you that assembly elections are to be held in Karnataka by May.

Mamta Banerjee will campaign for JDS

Along with JDS leader and former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and requested her to campaign in the Karnataka assembly elections. Mamata Banerjee has agreed to Kumaraswamy’s request to campaign in Karnataka. He asked the BRS to prepare a program for him.
