At the same time, the people of Mauritius will be able to make UPI payments in India as well. Along with this, Indians will be able to make payments through UPI in both countries. Recently UPI service has been launched in France as well. Now people will be able to book tickets for Eiffel Tower through UPI.

Today's launch event will be held via video conferencing at 1.00 pm. Along with PM Modi, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnath, Central Bank Governors of the three countries will also be present. The Ministry of External Affairs has given this information through a notification.

PM Modi will also launch the RuPay card service along with the UPI service in Mauritius, after which banks in Mauritius will be able to issue cards based on the RuPay mechanism. With this, the people of both the countries will be able to use the services available through these cards in their respective countries as well as in each other's places.
