Mobile phones are being found continuously from Ferozepur Central Jail. The barracks were searched by the jail administration on Tuesday. Meanwhile, two mobile phones and one unauthorized mobile phone have been recovered from the convicts. Based on the complaint of the jail administration, a case has been registered against two prisoners and an unidentified accused.
Ferozepur Central Jail Assistant Superintendent Jasveer Singh and Nirmaljit Singh said that during the search of the barrack, one mobile phone was recovered from the possession of Mansa resident detainee Praveen Kumar and Fajlika resident prisoner Ajay Kumar. Another mobile phone was found in an abandoned condition. After which he complained about it to the police officials.
ASI Gurmail Singh of Ferozepur City police station said that on the basis of the complaint of the jail administration, two men have been nominated and a case has been registered against the unknown accused under the Jail Act and other sections. The matter is being investigated by the police.
