The arrested persons have been identified as Onkar Singh resident of village Kaki village, Jalandhar, Sukhjinder Singh alias Sharpi Ghuman resident of village Karhali, Patiala and Prabhjot Singh Baheri, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The police teams recovered 9 passports from them as well as several photocopies of passports of absconding gangsters prepared using fake details.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said that acting on credible information received regarding the involvement of inter-state travel agents in preparing passports using fake details to help gangsters/criminals flee the country, the ADGP AIG on the directions of Pramod Ban. AGTF teams led by Sandeep Goyal busted this gang by arresting three members during a night-long operation.

He said that investigation revealed that this gang had links in different states including Delhi, UP, Kolkata, Gujarat and Maharashtra and this gang helped many gangsters/criminals from Punjab and other states flee the country on fake passports. used to help

The DGP said that police teams have detained five more persons associated with the gang and are interrogating them so that the entire network can be exposed.

Giving further information, ADGP Pramod Ban said that the accused Onkar, who runs an illegal immigration company in Jalandhar, is involved in making passports of gangsters/criminals using fake details and robbing innocent people on the pretext of sending them abroad. was

They said that during interrogation, accused Onkar revealed that he had created fake passports for gangster Virinderpal Singh alias Veena Buttar (Bambiha Gang) and Jaswinder Singh alias Khattu (Dharminder Gugni Gang) to help them flee the country. can

During the preliminary interrogation, the accused Prabhjot Singh has revealed that one of his accomplices Charanjit Singh alias Bareilly (who has been arrested by the Delhi Police) had created a fake passport for the recently deported gangster Deepak Boxer from Mexico.
