From Jammu and Kashmir to Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, from Haryana to Rajasthan and Bihar, the entire north-west India is under the grip of dense fog and bitter cold. Since the last few days, due to snowfall in the high altitude areas of the hill states, the cold has also increased in the plains. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no relief for the next two-three days.

Dense fog is being seen in the morning in the national capital Delhi and surrounding areas for the last two days. Due to this, many flights to Delhi were also affected a day ago. Due to low visibility, people faced difficulties.

Morning visibility was almost nominal due to fog in Amritsar in Punjab and Churu in Rajasthan on Sunday. New Year is expected to be welcomed in Jammu and Kashmir with rain and snowfall. According to the Meteorological Center Srinagar, from January 1 to 3, the state will remain cloudy with rain and snowfall at some places. Currently, the minimum temperature is below zero in most of the districts due to the cold wave in Kashmir.
