The court remanded Sadhu Singh Dharamsot for 3 days

Former Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, who was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau in the case of creating wealth beyond resources, was produced in the court today. The Mohali court sent Sadhu Singh Dharamsot to police remand for three days.

When the media spoke to Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, who reached the court, he said that he will say everything in the court. Speaking to the media after the appearance, he said that the decision of the judge is acceptable.
It may be mentioned that yesterday the Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested the former minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot on the charge of making assets beyond the known sources of income.

The spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau had said that after the investigation of the ongoing vigilance investigation, the Vigilance Bureau registered a case under section 13(1) (b), 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act at the Police Station of the Vigilance Bureau Range, Mohali. Former minister of Punjab Sadhu Singh Dharamsot has been arrested in the case of making assets more than finances.

Giving further details, he further informed that during the checking period from 01-03-2016 to 31-03-2022, the income of the above former minister and his family was Rs.2,37,12,596.48/- while the expenditure was Rs.8,76/- , 30, 888.87/- was Rs. 6, 39, 18, 292.39/- higher. That is 269 percent more than his known sources of income.
He further said that further investigation of the matter is going on to find out other assets of the former minister.
