The first biofertilizer lab has been started in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. In such a situation, Punjab has become the first state in the country where such a lab has been started. The government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is disseminating the latest horticultural techniques to the farmers for the betterment of the farmers. In such a situation, this lab will work to reduce the cost of chemical fertilizers of the farmers in the state and save the soil from contamination with these chemicals.
The lab has been set up at a cost of Rs 2.50 crore under the National Agriculture Scheme. Punjab Minister Chetan Singh Jokamajra said that 10 types of organic fertilizers (such as Azotobacter carrier based, PSB carrier based, Azotobacter liquid formulation, PS B. Liquid Formulation, Potassium Solubilizing Bacteria (ZSB) Liquid Formulation, NPK, M. Fungi, IRI Compost Inoculant, Trichoderma Virdi) will be prepared.

This fertilizer will be available to farmers at low cost and will be available in every district. Along with this, necessary technology for agriculture will also be provided. By using organic fertilizers prepared from this state-of-the-art laboratory, the use of chemical fertilizers can be reduced by 15-20 percent, which will directly increase the income of the farmer or landowner.
The state of Punjab has become the first state in India to set up this state-of-the-art biofertilizer laboratory to protect the state’s soil, water and air from pollution and increase farmers’ income.
