Farewell with military honours
Earlier, after being brought back from Kashmir, the dead body of the martyred jawan was brought to village Ballamgarh with a large convoy. The family paid homage to the martyr with tearful eyes and after that the pyre of Jawan Pardeep Singh was lit with full military honors and religious rites.
The bugler of the Indian Army played a mournful tune and the soldiers saluted the martyr by throwing down their arms and giving a guard of honour. Brigadier Ankush Thakur of Patiala Military Station, Colonel Abhinav Sharma and 19 RR. Subedar Surinder Singh, Naib Subedar Tarlochan Singh and Manjit Singh and other military officers also paid tribute by placing wreaths.
