He said that the number of patients coming for treatment in government hospitals has increased. In Muktsar district, the maximum number of patients are coming to the civil hospital in Malot for treatment. Therefore, the Civil Hospital of Malot has recognized the District Hospital of Muktsar. The number of patients undergoing treatment for pregnancy ultrasound, delivery, medical tests, X-rays, ECG and other diseases is continuously increasing in the hospital of Malot.
The Cabinet Minister said that all the health facilities are available for the patients in Government Hospital Malot. 450-500 patients are coming here for treatment in OPD daily. About 40 x-rays, more than 800 lab tests and 20-25 ultrasounds are done daily in the hospital. Civil Hospital Malot in January 2024 saw 10430 patients in OPD, 890 patients in IPD, 29998 lab tests, 899 X-rays, 214 ECGs, 169 deliveries, 671 ultrasounds, 2213 patient admissions and 151 operations.

The minister said that all different types of specialist doctors have been deployed in the Civil Hospital Malot, who are providing health facilities to the people. He said that people of 25 villages around Malot are taking advantage of OPD. Civil Hospital Malot has received Rs 6.98 crore from user charges and more than Rs 6 lakh is being earned per month from user charges. He appreciated the hard work done by all the staff for getting 'A' grade at Civil Hospital Malot.
