Deepak Mali, who runs Indore’s famous fruit khichdi shop Bhairunath Fariyali, says that the sale of Fariyali Khichdi has increased a lot due to Navratri. He told that although Khichdi lovers come to the shop all the time, but these days due to fasting, people get their spicy Khichdi packed and taken away for their loved ones.

The gardener told about the method of making Sabudana Khichdi. Sabudana is kept soaked in water a day in advance. Due to this, the sago swells well and becomes soft. to make porridge Rock salt, pomegranate seeds, coriander leaves, black salt, sugar, black pepper, potato mixture and lemon are served. Garlic and onion are not used in this at all. Their Fariyali Khichdi is available for Rs.25 a plate while the special one is available for Rs.35 per plate.
