Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan visited the flood affected areas of Kotakpura, District Faridkot and took stock of the situation. S. Sandhawan along with Deputy Commissioner Faridkot Mr. Vineet Kumar and other district officials visited various villages and heard the problems of the people of the water affected area. He asked the district officials to ensure all help to the flood affected people. He instructed the administration to make arrangements on a priority basis for drainage of rainwater accumulated in residential areas.
Speaker Sandhavan said that the Chief Minister. The state government led by Bhagwant Mann has made all arrangements to deal with any flood situation. He said that the situation in district Faridkot is under complete control and full vigilance is being exercised by the administration.
Meanwhile, S. Sandhawan also visited Bir Sikh Wala village and expressed grief over the death of a young girl due to the roof collapse during the unfortunate incident and said that apart from the treatment of the injured family members, the family will also be financially helped.
Sandhwan further said that the Punjab government stands with the people on the occasion of this natural calamity. Those people are requested not to panic, the Punjab government will provide all possible assistance to the people of the state.
