Patra Perrak, Attari: Making summer vacations worthwhile, Tabyadar Guru Panth Council Attari, 94 to 98 School Friends Group Attari and the entire area resident Sadh Sangat organized an eight-day Gurmati education camp, Shaheed General Sham Singh Public School, near Bus stand Attari, , in which a total of 606 students of sixth, seventh and eighth classes from about 34 villages were registered and about 500 students attended daily.

Free buses were arranged to come and go, there was daily class time from eight in the morning to half past one, in which the children were given the meaning of the Japuji Sahib Bani, the history of the ten Guru Sahibs and Sri Guru Ganth Sahib, martyrdom stories, Sikhism. Education was conducted on Rahit Maryada, life of Sikh martyrs and Gurmat philosophy and traditions. On June 17, the examination was conducted at eight o’clock in the morning and on June 18, the prize distribution ceremony was held.

Among the sixth class students, Harmanjot Kaur (Sabra) got the first position, Daljit Kaur (Attari) got the second position and Gurnoor Singh (Vaniek) got the third position. Among the seventh class students, Mihardeep Kaur (Vaniek) got the first place, Simranjot Singh (Attari) got the second place, Jasmin Kaur (Mode) got the third place. Anubhav Parkash Kaur (Vaniek) got the first position, Abhijot Singh (Sabra) got the second position, Navjot Kaur (Bachiwind) got the third position among the eighth class students. Cash prizes of three thousand, two thousand and one thousand respectively were also given to the best three students from the three classes.

On this occasion, Gurbani Kanth competition, beautiful writing competition and beautiful turban competition were also conducted. In the Gurbani Kanth competition, Simranjot Singh (Attari) won the first place. Sukhmandeep Singh (Mode) won the first place, Lavjit Singh (Kiralgarh) won the second place and Gurteknoor Singh (Gharinda) got the third place in the beautiful dastar competition. Abhijot Singh (Sabra) won the first place by decorating the most beautiful dumala in the dumala decorating competition. In the beautiful writing competition, Anbhau Prakash Kaur (Vaniek) got the first place, Malakprareet Kaur (Padhri) got the second place, Sonia Kaur (Kaunke) got the third place. All the students were given certificates and medals.

As Gurmat teachers, Bhai Bikramjit Singh Shashti, Bhai Surjit Singh Ratan, Bhai Jasbir Singh Waniyek, Bhai Sukhmeet Singh Attari, Bhai Harmanprarit Singh Kaunke, Bhai Jugraj Singh Kaunke, Bhai Balwinder Singh Jhabal, Bhai Rajbir Singh Mandyala, Bibi Gurjit Kaur Mode, Bibi Rajbir Kaur Attari, Mrs. Davinder Kaur Attari, Dr. Jaswant Singh Principal (Gyani Sohan Singh Sheetal Dhadi Kavishar Gurmati Missionary College, Guru Ki Wadali) along with three students Bhai Sukhraj Singh, Bhai Karjprarit Singh, Bhai Jaswinder Singh ji imparted Gurmat education to the children and gave them life purpose. On the last day of Sri Sahaj Path Seva Lahar Amritsar, Bhai Rajpal Singh encouraged the children to connect with Gurbani and take Amrit. On Sunday, June 18, Amrit communication was held at Main Bazar, Attari from 2 pm to 6 pm, in which a total of 77 Praranis were conducted. Guru Wale became, out of which 68 Praraniyas were aged between 10 and 13 years. The service of free books was done by Sri Sahaj Path Seva Lehar Amritsar. A group of 94 to 98 school friends and a team of about 50 servants from different villages of the area performed all the services with great devotion and love. Many dignitaries including Puran Singh Sandhu Ranike, Amarjit Singh Nildhari (Gurdwara Pradhan) Amritsar, Gurdev Singh Man Muhawa, Mukhtar Singh Nowshera Dhala and Gurinder Singh JE Attari were present on this occasion.
