Wheat Procurement Season: District Ludhiana (East) has come second from across the state for the overall performance of the recently completed wheat procurement season. Under the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann, Food Supply Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak at Chandigarh presented the award to district Ludhiana (East) as the second place for this outstanding achievement.

It may be mentioned that Ludhiana district is divided into two parts, one side is Ludhiana (East) and the other is Ludhiana (West). Food Supply Minister Deputy Commissioner Surbhi Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba and concerned for playing an important role in carrying out wheat procurement, lifting, payment, online gate pass, vehicle tracking system and other functions in a planned and timely manner. Congratulations to the entire team of the departments. District Food and Supply Controller (DFSC) Ludhiana (East) Shefali Chopra received this award on behalf of the district administration.
