Punjab Roadways bus service started for the first time from Patti to Shimla, know bus route, time and fare information

Bus service between Patti and Shimla: With Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar inaugurating Punjab Roadways bus service between Patti and Shimla, it has become the first milestone when Punjab Roadways bus service has started from Patti to Shimla.

Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said during the conversation after showing the green flag from Patti Bus Stand that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is running buses from various cities of Punjab to other states keeping the convenience of the people as the main priority.

He said that this bus of Punjab Roadways/Punbus will depart from Patti Bus Stand at 10:20 am and reach Shimla at 10:30 pm via Amritsar, Jalandhar and Chandigarh. Similarly, the next day it will leave Shimla at 7:10 am and return by the same route and reach Patti at around 7:30 pm. One way bus fare is fixed at Rs 585.

The Transport Minister said that Punjab Roadways/Punbus has recorded a record increase in income during the last financial year. During the financial year 2022-23, Punjab Roadways/Punbus has earned Rs 700.88 crore, which was Rs 547.08 crore during the financial year 2021-22. He said that this increase of Rs 153.80 crore is 28.11 percent. He said that Punjab Roadways/Punbus is increasing and buses will be run from other cities in the next few days.

The Transport Minister said that the authorities have already been instructed to prioritize running buses from the required places as per the demand of the people so that cheap and economical bus service can be provided to the people.

Cabinet Minister Bhullar said that due to the transparent policies of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the transport department is on the path of progress and by accelerating this pace, the department will be taken to new heights. He said that the Hon’ble government has started bus service from Punjab to Delhi International Airport at three times less fare by breaking the private bus mafia and now about 25 buses from different districts of the state are plying to Delhi Airport.
