The Punjab government has released an amount of Rs 33.65 crore for nutritious food supplied through Anganwadi Satters.

Giving information in this regard, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that goods are being supplied to the beneficiaries in Anganwadi centers of the state through Markfed. The supply made by Markfed during the current financial year under the Supplementary Nutrition Program Scheme has been paid so far. Meanwhile, he has instructed the concerned district program officers to use the funds as per the government rules.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said that 4.17 crores to Amritsar district, 65.94 lakhs to Barnala, 2.28 crores to Bathinda, 40.22 lakhs to Faridkot, 4.35 crores and 5.99 lakhs to Fazilka (Cooking Coast), 4 crores and 4.69 lakhs to Ferozepur (Cooking Coast), 1.56 crore to Gurdaspur, 5 crore to Hoshiarpur, 2.51 crore to Jalandhar, 97.48 lakh to Ludhiana, 97.33 lakh to Mansa, 50 lakh to Moga, 92 lakh to Ropar, 3.07 crore to Sangrur, 2.14 crore to Kapurthala.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is constantly striving for the welfare of the people of the state and special attention is being paid to children, pregnant women and lactating mothers and the Bhagwant Mann government is committed to their welfare. .
