The spokesperson said that after the preliminary investigation of the said allegations, the Vigilance Bureau team from Amritsar range has laid a trap and the accused policeman was arrested on the spot in the presence of two government witnesses by taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 in the presence of the complainant and his relative Kashmir Singh.
